On the sixth day of the William Hill World Darts Championship, the German participants had mixed feelings. Nico Kurz impressed at his World Championship debut with an extremely confident performance and defeated James Wilson with 3:1.<\/p>\n
Gabriel Clemens, who sent his fans on a roller coaster ride of emotions, didn’t do so well. The “German Giant” looked like the better player throughout the match, but too many misthrows in the decisive moments were exploited by Benito van de Pas. Twice Clemens caught up a set behind, but lost a 2-0 lead in the fifth set and he lost against “Big Ben” despite four match darts. So there will be no German duel in the second round.<\/p>\n
