2025 Machineseeker European Championship schedule confirmed

October 20, 2025 , ,

The schedule of play has been confirmed for the 2025 Machineseeker European Championship, with former champions Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and Ross Smith set to star on Thursday’s opening night in Dortmund.

The PDC Premier Event will see the top 32 players on the 2025 European Tour rankings competing for the coveted title and £600,000 in prize money at Dortmund’s Westfalenhalle from October 23-26.

The first round will be split across Thursday and Friday nights, with the opening session headlined by four-time European Champion Van Gerwen who takes on fellow Dutchman Wessel Nijman.

2022 champion Smith and 2023 winner Wright go head-to-head in a battle of the former European Champions, while Stephen Bunting – a winner of two European Tour titles this year – plays world number eight Chris Dobey.

2019 runner-up Gerwyn Price will renew his rivalry with Northern Ireland’s World Cup champion Daryl Gurney, with Price’s fellow Welshman Jonny Clayton up against Ryan Searle.

Friday will see the Round One action continue, as top seed Nathan Aspinall takes on two-time European Champion Rob Cross in a blockbuster clash.

World Champion Luke Littler faces Dutch icon Raymond van Barneveld in another stellar showdown, while world number one Luke Humphries has been pitted against Poland’s number one Krzysztof Ratajski.

2018 European Champion James Wade plays Belgian number one Mike De Decker, and Josh Rock – a two-time finalist on the European Tour this year – meets German number two Ricardo Pietreczko.

The remaining 16 players will then feature in Round Two on Saturday, before the quarter-finals take place on Sunday afternoon, ahead of the decisive semi-finals and final on Sunday evening.

The Machineseeker European Championship will be broadcast live on ITV in the UK, through the PDC’s worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV (excluding subscribers based in the UK, Germany, Austria & Switzerland).
