Barney is back! – Full results of the 2021 European Q School

February 17, 2021 , ,

The 2021 European Q School is in the books and 12 tour cards have been awarded.

On the final day of action Russian Boris Koltsov managed to gain the last direct Tour Card by defeating Niels Zonneveld in the final by 6:4.

Koltsov who had already made it to the final on day 2 made history by becoming the first ever Russian tour card holder.

Five time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld also fulfilled his goal of regaining his tour card. The nine points that he accumulated in the Order of Merit were enough to crown his comeback after retiring from the sport a good year ago.

With Florian Hempel securing the direct Tour Card yesterday evening and Martin Schindler, Michael Unterbuchner and Robert Marijanovic gaining theirs via the OOM, one third of the cards awarded go to Germany.

These are the 12 new Tour Card holders from EQS 2021:

Geert de Vos (winner on day 1)
Geert Nentjes (winner day 2)
Florian Hempel (winner day 3)
Boris Koltsov (winner day 4)

Raymond van Barneveld (#3 OOM)
