Max Hopp and Gabriel Clemens have successfully completed their first tasks at the Players Championship Finals 2019 in Minehead. The 64 best players of the Pro Tour will start at the last major tournament before the World Cup.

The “Maximiser” won 6:3 against Jelle Klaasen and the “German Giant” entered the second round 6:4 against Mark McGeeney. Martin Schindler had a tough opponent with Michael Smith and he lost to the “Bully Boy” with 1:6.

The defending champion Daryl Gurney was eliminated surprisingly in the first round, he lost to Luke Woodhouse with 5:6. Peter Wright also failed unexpectedly 5:6 against James Wilson.
