Statement of the PDC Europe on the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus

Today the federal governments have decided to ban all events in Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia with more than 1000 spectators until further notice (in Bavaria until at least April 19th). Unfortunately the Schwaben Darts Gala (March 20th) at the ratiopharm Arena in Neu-Ulm, the European Darts Open (March 27-29) at the Ostermann Arena in Leverkusen and the German Darts Grand Prix (April 11-13) at the Zenith in Munich are also affected by this decision.

It is our ambition to find alternative dates or other solutions for all events which are affected. We will announce these as soon as possible. Please give us some time for this in case of the European Darts Open in Leverkusen and the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich.
We are happy however that we have already managed to find an alternative date for the Schwaben Darts Gala in Neu-Ulm. The event will take place on Friday, June 26, 2020. All of our stars Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Fallon Sherrock, Rob Cross and Mensur Suljovic have already confirmed their participation. So nothing stands in the way of a great summer darts evening.

Of course, the tickets purchased will remain valid!

Ticket holders who are unable to attend on June 26th have the opportunity to return their tickets. All buyers will be contacted by mail for further information. We ask you to refrain from phone calls.

There is also a possibility that the European Tour event in Sindelfingen may not take place as planned. We are in close contact with the venue and the local authorities.

We ask for your understanding for these measures, which are beyond our control. These are tense times. All the more reason for us to look forward to it when everything is over and we can welcome you all back to the world’s craziest sport. Cheerful, exuberant and safe – just the way darts should be!
