The Oberhausen Darts Gala 2020 will be cancelled

October 7, 2020 ,

The Oberhausen Darts Gala will now not take place as planned on November 10, 2020 at the König-Pilsener-ARENA. A postponement of the event to the year 2021 will most likely not take place.

The reasoning for this decision of PDC Europe is the changed venue of this year’s European Darts Championship, which will take place from October 29 – November 01, 2020 at the König-Pilsener-ARENA also. Due to the conditions and circumstances caused by the corona pandemic, the event was moved from the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund to Oberhausen.

In addition, the darts galas and especially the associated VIP events are defined by the closeness between players and fans, which cannot be granted at the present time.

Tickets already purchased for the Oberhausen Darts Gala can be converted into a voucher HERE. The vouchers can be used to pay for all events of PDC Europe and are valid for 3 years.
If the voucher is not or only partially redeemed this year or next year, the remaining amount can be paid out starting January 01, 2022. The concrete procedure will be published on the PDC Europe website until then.

Fans who want to see the top stars of PDC like Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright or Gerwyn Price in Oberhausen this year, can of course also use the voucher to purchase tickets for this year’s European Darts Championship at the König-Pilsener-ARENA.

At the 13th edition of the European Darts Championship the Top 32 players of the European Tour will compete against each other. Defending champion is the 2018 World Champion Rob Cross. A total of £500,000 in prize money will be up for grabs.
