Bewerbung des Deutschen Fernsehpreises 2023 nach Nominierung der SPORT1-Dartsübertragung

Gabriel Clemens’ semi-final appearance thrilled Darts Germany last December – now the darts fever has reached the biggest German Television Award „Deutscher Fernsehpreis“ as well! SPORT1 with its live coverage from London of the 2023 Darts World Championship has been nominated for the German Television Award 2023 in the category “Best Sports Programme”. This is the first time in history that a darts broadcast has been selected by the jury as one of the three best programmes at Germany’s most prestigious media award. The German Television Award 2023 will be presented in different categories, including the category “Best Sports Programme”, on Thursday, 28 September at the MMC Studios in Cologne during a grand TV gala.

“Congratulations on the nomination to the whole SPORT1 team who did a fantastic job at the World Championship.” PDC Europe President Werner von Moltke also congratulated. “Besides the appreciation of SPORT1’s broadcasting the nomination is also a great sign for the further growing popularity of darts. Therefore we are very happy and keep all fingers crossed for the 28th September”, von Moltke continued.
