William Hill World Darts Championship, Day Seven

December 20, 2019 ,

Gerwyn Price has fought his way to the third round of the 2020 William Hill World Darts Championship. William O’Connor showed a strong performance and led by 2:1 sets. Especially in the Legs, which the Irishman opened, he played very unerringly. But in the penultimate leg O’Connor made the mistake to throw to the double 1 with 4 points remaning. This mistake was mercilessly exploited by the “Iceman” and so the victory went to Gerwyn Price.

Justin Pipe and Jan Dekker were the last players to reach the second round in the afternoon. Like Chris Dobey and Danny Noppert, they won only in the decisive set.

Justin Pipe 3-2 Benjamin Pratnemer
Jan Dekker 3-2 Ryan Joyce
John Henderson 3-0 James Richardson (R2)
Steve Beaton 3-1 Kyle Anderson (R2)

Chris Dobey 3-2 Ron Meulenkamp (R2d)
Danny Noppert 3-2 Callan Rydz (R2)
Dave Chisnall 3-1 Vincent van der Voort (R2)
Gerwyn Price 3-2 William O’Connor (R2)
