World Cup of Darts

At the World Cup of Darts, 40 nations from all over the world, from Australia to the USA, compete for the crown. All nations are represented by their two top professionals.

The countries compete for prize money totalling 450,000 pounds. The entire tournament is played exclusively in pairs format, which means that the two pairs partner take turns to get their score of 501 down to zero.

The four highest ranked nations are seeded for the round of 16. The remaining 36 nations play in 12 groups of three. The group winners qualify directly for the round of 16. From the round of 16 onwards, the tournament will be completed in knockout format. Each nation will be represented by the two players with the highest ranking in the PDC Main Order of Merit of said country. If a nation has no or only one player in the PDC Main Order of Merit, the vacant places are usually filled via qualifying tournaments.
