In a final for the ages, Luke Littler secured his second BetMGM Premier League Darts title in a sold-out O2 Arena in London. “The Nuke” defeated Luke Humphries in a thrilling final 11-10, joining Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, and Gary Anderson as the only players in history to win the Premier League title more than once. For the third consecutive time, the two Lukes battled it out in the Premier League final.
The final delivered darts of the absolute highest caliber across all 21 legs. Humphries got off to the better start, capturing the first two legs in 13 darts each and eventually leading 6-3. However, Littler fought his way back to take a 7-6 lead before both players engaged in a nerve-wracking finish. At 9-9, Littler launched a final sprint with seven perfect darts and checked out tops for a 10-dart break. Humphries answered ice-cold with a 68 checkout on D4 to make it 10-10, forcing the decider. There, Littler initially missed the big 14 during his title-winning visit, but with his final and only match dart at tops, the 19-year-old secured the crown – doing so with a sensational average of 111.67 points.
This has been a rollercoaster. After four weeks I was near the bottom of the table, then on Night Five I won my first night. I’ve had to pick myself up after some tough times, but I’m here with the trophy!
Historic Night at the O2 Arena
For the first time in the history of Finals Night, all 59 legs of the evening were played out. In the first semi-final, Gerwyn Price fought back from a 4-9 deficit before Littler ultimately clinched the match. In the second semi-final, Jonny Clayton missed a match dart for the final before Humphries booked his ticket to the championship match. For the third consecutive time, it was “Luke vs Luke,” and for the second time, Littler came out on top.
Four-Time Major Champion in 2026
With this Premier League triumph, the youngster continues his historic run in 2026. Following the World Championship, the World Masters, and the UK Open, the Premier League is already his fourth major title of the year. And the hunt for title number five is just around the corner: together with his final opponent Luke Humphries, Littler will represent England at the World Cup of Darts (June 11-14). The duo will enter the tournament as the top-seeded team. Tickets for the major tournament in Frankfurt are available HERE.
