Cazoo European Championship: Updated session times

August 27, 2021 ,

The 2021 Cazoo European Championship will take place at the Salzburgarena in Austria from October 14-17.

The top 32 players on the 2021 European Tour Order of Merit will compete for the title and £500,000 across four days in front of up to 3500 fans per session.

Salzburg will play host to the European Championship for the first time, with the event previously staged at venues in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands since its inception in 2008.

The popular Salzburgarena staged the World Series of Darts Finals and World Cup of Darts in 2020, and will now welcome the ITV cameras for the European Championship in September.

Peter Wright is the reigning champion, having defeated James Wade in last year’s final.

The tournament will be broadcast on ITV4 in the UK, through the PDC’s international broadcast partners including RTL7 and DAZN, through PDCTV for Rest of the World Subscribers and via matchroom.live.

To gain entry to the venue, all fans will be required to show proof of a completed approved Covid-19 vaccination, proof of recovery from Covid-19 or a negative Covid-19 test.
