The draw and the schedule for the 2021 Gibraltar Darts Trophy has been confirmed.

48 players will fight for the title from September 24-26 at the Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar. All matches will be streamed live on PDCTV.

Today, Friday, two sessions will take place. In the afternoon session former World Champion Rob Cross, veteran Mervyn King and newly crowned World Cup Champion John Henderson will enter the tournament among others.

In the evening session the three German participants will start their campaign and none of them had luck in the draw. Florian Hempel will play World Cup semi-finalist Stephen Bunting, Martin Schindler will meet the dangerous Ryan Searle and Gabriel Clemens will face Luke Humphries in the last match of the evening.

Furthermore former European Tour winner Simon Whitlock will play Wayne Jones and Russian Boris Koltsov will battle Kim Huybrechts, with the winner facing World Cup finalist Mensur Suljovic on Saturday.

The Top 16 of the European Tour Order of Merit enter the tournament on Saturday.

The 2021 Gibraltar Darts Trophy has extra significance this year as it is the last chance for players to qualify for the Cazoo European Championship in Salzburg.

The tournament will be streamed worldwide via PDCTV and the bookmakers’ websites. The PDCTV subscription options include Event Pass and Day Pass packages as well as annual and monthly subscriptions.
